GOT Maya the Divine.

GOT D.A.M. we need more events like this in Chicago.  What struck me from the start was the
sincerity of the night's host Maya Camille Broussard.  She is on a mission to promote the arts in the Windy City
and has approached her task with a genuine respect of the artists who are her
inspiration and her guests who she hopes to inspire.  From the tasteful selection of venue-the Living Room Lounge
at 1100 W. Cermak (in a city full of loft spaces-somehow this one felt unique)
to the artist on exhibition Stephen Flemister (who's work speaks to your soul) everything
felt right about the night.

The guests were friendly-agenda and pretensions were left at
the door.  The only thing I hate is
that I didn't get to see the live performances-which took place after midnite-be
prepared to stay late to avoid similar regret.

While pulling this review together I happened to Google the
meaning of the name Maya-when I discovered that in Hindi Maya means divine
creative force-in Greek it means mother and in Latin it means great.  It's her destiny to be as she is.

GOT D.A.M. may just be the next big thing just in time for
Spring.  Maya's definitely on to
something-add love and watch it grow.
