The biggest Lollapalooza ever the ultimate Soundgarden

Perry Farrell was at it again for the 14th Lollapalooza billed as the largest ever in terms of land print upon Grant Park and in terms of audience-240,000 fans over the weekend.  His team at C3 definitely know music and make every bit of it an adventure.

The talent line-up was outstanding and if I had to pick a day as best it would have been Friday which headlined Lady Gaga on the Parkways stage, along with Raphael Saddiq.

You will always be given musical treats from the unexpected and the best groups unknown to me before were Lolla-My Dear Disco, The Balkan Beat Box, Nneka, Kidz in the Hall and J. Cole.  And big props to Erykah Badu-she rocked the house on Sunday with Soundgarden closing things out in grand fashion.

The jury is still out on if size matters and bigger is better.  With the heat and crowds, to walk the entire festival grounds more than once was an incredible feat - but given how this event is programmed, once you find your grove you don't ever really have to move.

Can't wait until next year!
