Making "Divergent" in the South Loop

I'd heard a while back they were going to be filming yet another movie in Chicago, and would be building a "city" at Harrison and Wells in the South Loop for the production.  Last night, I saw the new city set, which looks like half-finished concrete single family homes, on the way back from a party in Roscoe Village, which was followed by a concert in Ukrainian Village.

Not only was there a city, there was also a small copy of the "L"  constructed at Federal and Harrison--about a block away.

When I asked about it, there were even rumors of Kate Winslet--and the talented young girl, Shallene Woodley, who played George Clooney's daughter in "The Descendants"--spotted around the neighborhood, too.

So I decided to have Bruce take my picture under the mini version of the "L."

The movie turns out to be "Divergent," with a storyline similar to the wildly popular young person's sci-fi "Hunger Games."
