Jason Miller’s life right now is what his nickname defines and that’s “Mayhem”.
Yesterday according to TMZ Jason Miller was arrested for walking into a church, spraying a fire extinguisher and getting completely naked. He was arrested a short time later and there have been no details if he was under the influence of anything at the time of these incidents. It’s a sad situation for an athlete that was on the top of the world a short time ago.
Miller only a few short years ago was living the luxury life. He had a very successful show entitled “Bully Beatdown”, had a improving fight career in Strikeforce and was on his way of opening more and more doors to further his career. But as seen in the past with other athlete’s things can rise quickly but also fall just the same.
After “The Ultimate Fighter” show Miller got his second chance in the UFC to fight Michael Bisping. There was a lot of trash talking and was being built up to be a great Main Event. However, Miller didn’t have much in the gas tank and had a poor performance and lost the fight to Bisping. That seemed to begin the downfall.
After his second loss and a run-in with UFC President Dana White, he was cut from the company and said he was retiring from MMA. But the Twitter exchange he had with his former boss seemed to turn heads on where his mindset was.
“You never begged me to retire @danawhite you must not love me. That's a shame, I love you. Cont..”
“It's ok. Since you never allowed me to officially retire, I am now a Warrior for Peace and Ultimate Fighter for Justice.”
“Kill yourself @danawhite we are all begging you.”
Now White responded to the tweets taking jabs in a comedic way, but felt bad after looking back at what the conversation entailed. Yesterday, Miller seemed to hit rock bottom.
Walking into a church doing abnormal things isn’t something a normal person would do. Now you can question if he is depressed, on some kind of drug, or need medication. The main issue now that he needs help. Going from top to bottom isn’t easy on a normal person and an athlete it’s that much harder.
Take example for Jose Canseco who had it all and then suddenly hit a wall. It’s difficult for an athlete to keep that image they have had and Miller is no different. He has a huge following on his social media accounts and from talking with him he wants to live a normal life.
Whatever the case is Miller needs helps in some shape or form and hopefully he gets it. Even though his MMA career might be finished he has established himself as an actor and has plenty of options to fall back on. After yesterday, a few bridges may have been damaged but hopefully repairable.
It’s a troubled time for Mayhem Miller but isn't something he can’t overcome. He has the Monkeys behind him and he needs to let others around, give him the assistance he desperately needs.
