A few weeks back I posed a question: why can't the Husband change his last name?
Turns out, one of my readers (a dude) did actually change his last name for his bride.
Here's his story (names have been changed so you shits don't stalk him).
Here's how it happened. Anne Tag and I (Matt Happy at the time) met 5 years ago at a wedding. I was living in LA and she lives in Scottsdale, AZ. We hit it off immediately. Right off the bat we were each making the 400 mile drive (1 hour each way by plane) to be with each other. I moved out and we got engaged in early 2010. So . . . about six months after that she started talking about what she's going to do about her name. Should she keep it, hyphenate, take my name . . . and what about the kids we're planning to have. All that stuff. Then she asked for my opinion, and I told her that I'd prefer me, her, and the kids to all have the same last name. So, about two months later, she brought the topic up again, and reminded me of what we'd both said.
Then she said (and I'll never forget this), "If we all have the same last name, why can't it be mine?" She said it as a joke, but I told her that I'd think about it seriously. So I did. And then I found myself in the position of the typical female. Hyphenate? Too bulky. Keep my name? But then we'd have different family names. Take her name? Yowww. Big blow to male ego. Then I thought about it some more.
She is well established in her career and I am not. Our plan is for her to be the primary breadwinner and me to be the primary parent when we have a family. So, "Ann Tag" is a well established professional while "Matt Happy" is who? I don't have the same dynamic going from Happy to Tag. So, shortly before the wedding. I decided to make the change. Told her on Christmas Eve. She was stunned. Actually, she asked me to reconsider, that it was cool with her for me not to change. But I told her it was too late, and then she said GREAT! After New Year's we told everyone and the reaction was mostly negative. (What a surprise, right?) Anyway, the big day came, I signed the certificate, the minister introduced us to the crowd as the Tags, and of course the deejay did too. I spent a considerable amount of time doing the paperwork after that, but it's all over now. I've read of other men who have done what I've done and I know of two who hyphenated, but it's pretty rare.
What an awesome guy. I'm no feminist, but I never did understand why the woman has to lose her identity. But this is no time for a rant.
It's time for a bit of a "see ya later." With this story, I bid you guys adieu in 2012. This is actually my last post on ChicagoNow. I can't believe I started "Milkin' it" about 2 years ago (plus I was on Tumblr before that!)
Thank You for being such great readers of my online crap. 2012 will bring a new website and more ridiculous things (and exciting adventures--I don't like to give details before things happen in fear of jinxing things) for you to look at.
Please bookmark these two sites and I'll update you on when they are launching!
As for Milkin' it....don't fret, perhaps I'll throw in a post from time to time about my husband's poop schedule. But believe it or not, I got sick of writing about him.
If you ever want to chat or give me ideas....Email me at gotmilkinit@gmail.com (because let's face it...you guys were my main inspiration for starting this blog!)
Hope you all have an amazing year. And don't forget...always believe in yourself.

At least your second link gave away something left secret a couple of weeks ago. You might also have an explanation for why Lisa Simpson's daughter's name was Zia Simpson. However, there don't seem to be 8 or so Mr. Liz Taylors.
I was more interested In the Liquor Aisle.
What was left secret?
You are lucky I came back.
In any event, the prior post was "some consonants followed by ski."
