No Peeking!

No Peeking!
So tempting...

Ahh December...the time of the year where I am not allowed to check my husband's bank statement in fear of ruining my own Christmas gift surprise.

But how am I supposed to keep track of and scold him for all the unnecessary lunches he is buying?

Dude, I try and tell him...pack your lunch the night before!

What do people with joint accounts do? How do you keep the gift....a surprise?

Do share.

  • Just because the check is to Tiffany's doesn't mean that it is for you. Probably also just because it is to K-Mart, either.

Of course, then you have something else to worry about. Ask Tiger's former wife. I guess Mrs. Cain didn't look at his checkbook.

I was going to ask why doesn't he use a credit card, but you can see that statement, too. Of course, it could have a charge such as -- Inn, which could be a discreet way of billing for a Nevada whorehouse. Maybe he should just use prepaid gift cards.

I don't have any any joint accounts, but am peeved that my "personal banker" can look up my account on the computer and say "why are you using Discover instead of our card?" when I have some other problem.

  • We definitely use our credit cards (points baby!) but all of that gets monitored on our accounts.

I once ruined a surprise he had planned by questioning what the hell a certain charge was.

I felt bad. for like an hour.

    oops. :(
