So kiddies, I have officially been married 1 year. That's right...365 days of wedded bliss to one person...and no cheating!
And while it may make some of you shudder at the thought of being married to the same person love of your life for an entire year, it makes me grin ear to ear.
For those of you who know me, I don't get sappy in this blog. Mainly because, well...let's face it, no one wants to read your happy go lucky I'm so in love blog posts. People want to read the dirt. So that's what I dish...which unfortunately has made some people think I have a dissolving marriage. But much to their chagrin, my marriage is thriving.
So now, I thought I'd share with you some of the things I've learned in my 1 year of marriage.

Very cool. Happy Anniversary. The first year's the hardest, I think...getting used to another person and their quirks and all. Here's to many more anniversaries to come!!!!
thank you!! :-)
Congrats on your anniversary! You've compiled a great list here, and one that warrants coming back to year after year for reminders. I know I have to keep reminding myself of #9 every time I get in my car and the husband has left my seat and steering wheel all sweaty and nasty after driving the car home from the gym (which I guess reflects back to #10 as well).
ha! ya, I have learned to just keep my mouth shut, keep my words in my head...and aim to avoid any fights over stupid things like that. it is SO. Hard.
Congrats Milk! Cheers to many more years to go!
#3 and 5 I've found to be extremely important to remember early in a relationship - just because you might argue or have unique interests doesn't mean you have nothing in common. (But my girlfriend is WAY messier than i am! :-O)
I totally get mad at my husband for doing things i do too. like "jesus, why don't you clean up when you are at home?? you see it is dirty!" and he turns to me and says, "you are the one that was home all day doing nothing" bam!
Congratulations!
thanks, Lauren!!
What a fantastic post! I love it. And might I just add, after meeting both of you guys, you're seriously one of the cutest couples I know! Congrats!!
Thanks Jess! You coming to the trivia contest tonight??
Congrats to you both. A good-looking couple! He always has gum on him, so life can never be that bad. =0p
So. True.
Great list... I hit the four-year mark on July 15. My wife is the same way about #8. I'm all up in her grill after work and she just wants to chill.
Good stuff!
Congrats to you! and keep up the cuddling. we really do love it. just give us 10 minutes after work or in the mornings ;)
