It's a tale as old as time; when beauty falls in love with the beast.
Seeing this fairytale classic at the Cadillac Palace theatre last night made me realize, this is no fairytale at all...at least not for the women involved.
Let me ask you this: how in the world is it easier for an atrocious looking man to land a super hot chick, than it is for a beautiful woman to get a raise.
Ladies and (fugly) gents, I now present you my list of gorgeous gals who date gross men.
No offense to these fine gentlemen. I'm sure they have great personalities and boat loads of money to keep these ladies happy.
Or maybe these women are just hoping that one day their beast will shed his layers of fur and turn into some prince charming.
Keep dreaming.

You know who had an ugly husband...the late Britney Murphy. He was recently on a talk show and I was surprised how fugly he was!
He died too.
Good one! that, and Michael Jackson/Lisa Marie..but I feel bad putting the deceased on here..eh??
But they still had bad taste while they were alive.
true that. I added brittany and some others, thanks!
Do you watch Millionaire Matchmaker? The lady on there says women who say they like pretty boys are lesbians, lol.
yes! I actually LOVE that show, watched it on TIVO last night. I can see that being partially the truth...but that doesn't mean they have to date ugly guys..how about handsome ones :)
In ten years all those - quite average and aging women, by the way, bar Beyonce will be 'ugly' as you say. Showbiz won't have room for a woman off the shelf. The men will still all be talented and interesting and smart.
Irish-
You're right about the aging women part. And the sad thing is, we age way worse than men..so we are kind of out of luck there, minus the whole plastic surgery route ;)
I have never met these men so I can't say if they are interesting/smart...but the women can also retain their redeeming personality traits as they age, I don't think that only pertains to the male species.
Either way, this post was just for fun, everyone is good looking ..just depends on the eye of the beholder ;)
It's amazing what people will marry = http://bit.ly/NERL7
man Brownsauce, I really hope that website of yours is just a joke and not serious.
By nature, women seek protection and security from a man. So, if a man is perceived to be capable of providing those two key traits, then he will be the one she marries. It really has nothing to do with how the guy looks in the face.
Yes, I think that's true for most women...but there are women (like myself) who don't need protection, they marry someone who is fun and their best friend, and that they are also super attracted to. Although the good looks may fade..the best friend part never will. I can honestly say I personally don't date for looks, but have always ended up dating good looking guys..I guess its all in your own perception of things.
Jenny...pretty shallow of you to think that the relationships you highlight (or any, for that matter) are or should be based on looks...that's really inane. I'm rather surprised that the Trib would even post the article. Curious you didin't or don't post your own picture?
Hi Peke!
My picture is actually posted all over this blog :-)
And I don't claim to be good looking, or ugly for that matter.
My husband is quite the catch though :)
I am curious how it is that certain people in the world don't possess a sense of humor?
Clearly, this "article" (read: blog) is a means of entertainment and fun, and was provoked by a childhood classic, "beauty and the beast".
Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, we all have eyes and can clearly see when someone is dating "out of their league" as some say.
And to be quite blunt, being attracted to someone (otherwise known as their looks) is the first thing that draws us to someone, if there is no attraction there, there will be no successful courtship. Now if the person who is "good looking" in your own eyes (because we all know beauty is subjective to a certain degree) turns out to have a great personality, you have a match!
If they turn out to be a dud..then you move on, to the next person you are attracted to.
No one dates people that they think are "ugly".
So, clearly these women were attracted to these men on some level....
I highly suggest lightening up a bit..laughter is good for the heart, soul...and makes you feel younger :)
also, the trib posted an "article" of movies that have girls hooking up with girls. it's purely entertainment. it's not like you found it in the breaking news section.

My ex once told me that people would often exclaim in a very shocked tone: "how the hell did YOU get HER?!" to which he would respond,
boo! I need to find a better picture then. I know...Rose too, she's beautiful. I need to do a reverse of this..ugly women/hot men (does that even happen??) so people don't get angry!
That's because it's usually true. Men generally have roving eyes and the better looking they are the more temptations they have because then they have responsive women luring them away from the women they supposedly are committed to. How many men are actually loyal to their ladies when opportunity for lust on the side knocks?
This reminds me of " she's out of my league"
