The 6th Annual eLearning & Technology Showcase took place on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 at the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
The conference was focused on the eLearning industry, and was for professionals in the area to network and learn more through breakout sessions.
There were panels on instructional design, eLearning technology, and many other topics relating to the industry of eLearning. There were also full workshop intended to teach the attendees about eLearning design software, instructional designing, and adding engaging content to eLearning courses.
Among the panels was one called "Using Gamification to Motivate your Target Audience", moderated by Jon Aleckson, Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Aleckson had the attendees form into group to take part in an interactive card sorting game of sorts, where the winners of the game won a copy of his book about eLearning design called "MindMeld".
There were also visits from leading eLearning design companies such as Illumen Group, Ellegro Learning Solutions, Reflection Software and more.
