Glambert in the Gayborhood

Midwest-born Adam Lambert came back to the heartland to tape an episode with Oprah on Tuesday (Jan 12). After the taping the American Idol runner-up hit Boystown.

Photographer Anthony Meade caught up with Adam at Roscoe's in Boystown where Frida Lay was hosting "Drag Race," a weekly competition of would-be and pro female impersonators. Anthony tells us Lambert talked with everyone; yet, despite Frida's prodding wouldn't take the stage.

The 27-year-old skyrocketed to popularity in 2009 after appearing on American Idol. Adam's new "Whataya Want From Me" video premieres on Friday, Jan 15.

The episode of Oprah featuring Adam airs Tuesday, Jan 19.
