A couple of weeks ago, I could not put the book The Other Einstein down, and I am still thinking about it. While looking into the author Marie Benedict, I even found out that it was published by the Chicagoland Publisher Source Books.
Favorite line: “…while the first step is the hardest, the second isn’t much easier.”
Did the storyline hold my attention? Yes, I know that it was a historical fiction, which means the author used real details and actual letters to create the story from her imagination, but the story she wrote was riveting.
Could I understand what was happening? Yes, even though I don’t agree with the choices Mileva, or Mitza as those close to her called her, made, I do understand that it was a different time and place for woman back then.
Did I care about at least 1 character? Yes, the book made me want to learn more about Mitza and Albert Einstein as well as their children.
Did I think about or talk about the book when it was over? Yes, I posted that I could not put it down on social media, and referred it to my mother to read so far.
Would I read this book again or recommend it to others? I would definitely recommend this book, and I hope that it is even made into a movie because even though she lost her way, she was a strong woman.
