The Sky lost despite four of their five starters scoring in double figures.

ROSEMONT- With the Indiana Fever coming into this game three games below the .500 mark (13-16), this seemed like an easy victory for the Sky. Unfortunately, that was not the case tonight as the Fever managed to escape Allstate Arena with a surprising victory.

In the first quarter the game was close, both teams scored back and forth until the quarter ended with a 19-19 tie. From there it was all Fever as they would take over the game. They would outscore the Sky 63-58 for the final three periods.

Point guard Briann January led the Fever with 23 points and four assists. All of Indiana's starters finished the game in double figures. They were finding open shots left and right and were making waves through a tough Sky defense.

The Sky on the other hand missed plenty of shots as they were only 28-70 from the field, and just 6-11 from three-point range. You couldn't tell with the fact that Elena Delle Donne, Swin Cash, Sylvia Fowles and Epiphanny Prince all scored in double figures for the Sky, that they only shot 40-percent tonight.

The missed shots eventually took's it toll on the defense. But they Sky did manage to show some signs of life in the second half. They outscored Indiana 21-14 in the fourth quarter and managed to come within five points during the final seconds. But the Fever did manage to hang on for the 82-77 victory.

Indiana is now two games below .500 with a 14-16 record. They will head home to take on Connecticut tomorrow night. The Sky now fall to 21-9, but they are still at the top of the Eastern Conference and have already clinched a playoff spot.

They are looking to get home court advantage during the postseason. On Sunday, the Sky will travel to our nations capital to take on the Mystics. Here is the box score from tonight's game. You can follow me on Twitter for sports anytime @GabeSalgado82
