Injury concerns for the Bears after season opener.

After decimating the Indianapolis Colts 41-21 in the 2012 NFL season opener yesterday, not all news is good for the Chicago Bears. There were many questions about Brian Urlacher's knee after he was pulled from yesterday's game in the fourth quarter.

Both the star middle linebacker and Bears' head coach Lovie Smith insist that No. 54's knee is fine. They say that pulling him from the game was only to give him rest after the team built up a huge lead.

Even if this was the case, many are still asking if Urlacher's knee is truly 100%. There are some that feel if every other starting defender {except for Charles Tillman} was able to finish the game then why not Urlacher?

Urlacher has stated that he was never in any pain on Sunday. He also said that he did not ask to leave the game. He said it was strictly a coaches decision and nothing more.

I guess will find out the truth on Thursday night. As I mentioned earlier, Charles Tillman did not finish the game either. He suffered what's being called a "lower leg injury" midway through yesterday's opener.

His status for Thursday's Week 2 slate against Green Bay is uncertain. And today Bears head coach Lovie Smith said that Tillman will be evaluated everyday and could be a game-time decision on Thursday.

For the moment I am not concerned about Brian Urlacher. If he starts to miss more playing time then maybe I will worry. But for now, I am taking everything that Urlacher and Coach Smith are saying at face value.

But I am concerned about Tillman not being in the lineup. Granted Kelvin Hayden held his own against the Colts yesterday. But Tillman's leadership and experience will be most helpful against the dangerous Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.

Hopefully Tillman will be healthy enough to play against the Packers this week. But if not, Kelvin Hayden will have a tough task ahead of him. If Hayden does start, he will need to capitalize on his performance from yesterday if he is to have a good game against Green Bay.

The Bears only have three days to prepare for the Packers this week. Time is not on Charles Tillman's side......
