Horny Notes: May 2, 2011 -- Jim Cornelison to Sing National Anthem for Game 1, Teague Will Start at PG, Boozer Expected to Play
  • Jim Cornelison will sing the national anthem before Game 1 on Monday. "In the wake of the death of Osama bin Laden, Chicago Bulls vice president of business operations Steve Schanwald said Monday there will be special significance to the pregame festivities." (Roman Madrowski, ESPNChicago.com)
  • Jeff Teague will start for the Hawks in place of injured Kirk Hinrich (Fred Mitchell, Chicago Tribune). I wrote more about the significance of no Kirk here.
  • Carlos Boozer is expected to play in Game 1 (K.C. Johnson, ChiTrib). He's missed practices since being diagnosed with turf toe following the Game 5 clincher in the first round until Sunday and Monday, where he participated in light shootaround (Nick Friedell, ESPNChicago.com).
  • The Hawks aren't very productive (Matt McHale, By the Horns). Sure, they were 44-38 and beat the Magic in the first round, but the numbers don't lie. They win close games and get blown out. This is a recipe for inevitable disaster. Add in the injury to Hinrich and the "Hawks will have a massive problem with [Derrick Rose]," Chris Mannix said on Monday, also discussing the Bulls' "far too much firepower for the Hawks to handle":
