So I spent Sunday evening glued to my television as per usual when an awards show is on. I have become obsessed with the Red Carpets more because I love the social media conversations that ensue and how I can connect from my couch to people all over the world. I was hashtaggin' away and I thought I'd share some of my picks with all of you.
My favorite celeb to grace the Red Carpet was BY FAR Halle Berry. Not because she looked perfect, as always, but because she was the ONLY celeb that didn't bore me to death. I use dramatic works like ONLY, but it's so true. This was the safest Red Carpet I've ever witnessed and I was so disappointed by that. I am not sure if it was because of the caliber of nominees this year or just a coincidence that no one stepped even a tiny bit outside the box, but the fashion was a total snooze fest in my opinion.
Being Halle Barry makes is pretty easy to look amazing. She is naturally one of the most beautiful women alive. For this Oscar show, she got a little funky, but still showed off her perfect body and gorgeous face just right. I loved the black and gold.
My second favorite was pregnant (that says a lot about how awful everyone else looked). I will say that Jenna Dewan is probably my number 1 girl crush. She is so freakin' beautiful and has such a hunky husband. Jenna looked amazing in a belly bump hugging lace number. Even with her few extra lbs, she beat out everyone else in the style category, take that Nicole Kidman.
Ok on to my favorite part...the worst of the worst. Easy - ANNE HATHAWAY - what the hell were you thinking? First off, she was supposed to wear a different dress that she announced she'd be wearing and all the PR went out about that dress (from a publicists POV - this is SO rude and SO diva-like and it makes me want to punch her). Second - did you not look in the mirror? The darts down the sides of the bodice give you the world's creepiest chest shape. I hate the color, I reallly hate her stupid bowl haircut, and I am actually not a fan of her personality either. She did a great job in the 36 seconds she was in Les Mis, but c'mon Anne, hire a different stylist - you're embarrassing.
I really hope these new Hollywood A-listers get it together. If they need to fly me out personally to overhaul their wardrobes, I'd be more than happy to do it!
