Little Kids, Big City is a blog about the intersection between life with children and life in a city of nearly three million people. Both have challenges and when you put them together -- well it's like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup only without the peanut butter. Or the chocolate.
I write about kids. I write about schools. I write about parenting. It's your basic full-service parenting site: chock-a-block with stories, great ideas, and advice about making it work.
I started my professional life as a child & family therapist. That morphed into parent coaching and now I am the premier admissions expert for Chicago Public Schools. I do a lot of public workshops but I also see private clients. As a parent who has been through the byzantine process of CPS applications, I know what you're going through!

I am the mother of two girls, a 2nd grader and a 3-year-old. I spend most of my "free" time driving them around.
