10 Signs It's Summer In Wrigleyville
Follow @dantello1 Summertime is upon us in Chicago, and here at Lists That Actually Matter we are stereotyping neighborhoods because it is fun, easy, and bound to irrationally piss somebody off. Today we are doing Wrigleyville, and we will save the “Cubs are already out of the playoff race” as a sign it’s summer in... “Like” us on Facebook Follow @dogisinmybushes Be advised, it’s now summertime. 10 Signs It's Summer in Wicker Park/Bucktown
T.R. got our Summertime in ___________ week rolling yesterday, profiling Lincoln Park with his usual wit and observation, and promptly received the wrath of reader Paul Frank for both misusing the term “Winter and Constructions” and for “being a snarky douchebag.” Well Paul, you’re in luck, because I’m writing the list today, and if the... After Anthony Weiner Which Celebs Have The Best Names for a Pun-tastic Scandal?

The Scandal: Allegedly violently disciplining his child. The NY Post headline would read, "He Did it Just to Hear Jr. Say Ow!".
Follow @AndyDisco The Anthony Weiner scandal is just awesome. It’s unquestionably the best marriage of a person’s name with their respective scandal in histoy. It is the perfect storm, and can’t foresee a better name + scandal confluence ever. But that doesn’t mean we can’t hope for someone to finish in second place. Here’s a... Read more »

10 Signs it is Summer in Lincoln Park

Chicago has two Seasons: Winter and Construction

Lincoln Park summers involve a lot of loud construction projects, stalled construction projects and moms who park their strollers in front of both of them so their toddler sons can witness full-scale versions of their toys.
No snarky comment for this one, I find that scene really endearing actually. Have a great summer everyone.
Follow @andydisco We aren’t trying to jinx anything here at Lists That Actually Matter, but it appears that summer is finally here to stay. So to celebrate we narrowed it down to two options: pagan sacrifice to the Sun God or writing a list everyday this week chronicling Signs it is Summer in various Chicago... Read more »

Is The Huffington Post Really THIS Stupid? Yes.

Follow @AndyDisco The Huffington Post is popular, successful and relevant- no one disputes any of those. But I wonder how efficient the HuffPo is with their home page’s real estate. Sure a lot of the news is intelligent, timely and important but other headlines of theirs are laughably worthless. Here are 13 actual examples from... Read more »

5 Most Outrageous College Sports Scandals of All-Time

5 Most Outrageous College Sports Scandals of All-Time
Follow @dantello1 When I heard the news about Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel resigning, I was reminded of two things: (1) the greatest college sports scandals of yesteryear and (2) the obvious analogy between preachy-Tressel being a cheater and bible-thumping politicians playing “hide the Constitution” with Congressional Pages. This list will cover the former because... 3 Jim Tressel Jokes

Also (not at all) of note: Anagrams of "Sweater vest", include, "We tears, vest" and, lamentably, "Tat severs we". The title of his biography, "More Than a Coach", can be scrambled into, "A Man Catcher Ooh", perhaps aware of the double entendre with "catcher". Finally, an anagram of "Jim Tressel" is, "Jester Slim".
Just go ahead and read them. It’ll take 2 minutes of your time and you’ll be the only person with Jim Tressel jokes. Besides, we both know you know an OSU fan who deserves to be laughed at for their cult-like love of Ohio State. If you know of any other Jim Tressel jokes, please... Read more »
