4 Beatles songs I take to heart
"Ladies and gentlemen, the BEATLES!"

I fell in love with the Beatles as a tween. My friends and I played my mom's old Beatles vinyl records in their basement. My poster of the Beatles hung in my bedroom at my parents' home until I moved out...

Fast forward, can you believe it's been 50 years since they debuted on the Ed Sullivan show? Beatles love songs and fashion are just as relevant today as they were yesterday… These are a few of my favorites.

1. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" may be the sweetest Beatles love song. As my three-year-old demanded I hold his hand the other day, my Mom taught him the chorus. He ad libed, "I want to touch your face." That's fitting since he crawls into our bed and puts his hands all over my face... Needless to say, I've been sick a lot this season, but am very smitten with my three-year-old, Mr. Lipstick & Lollipops and our one-year-old.

I wanna hold your hand.
Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
I'll let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

2. "When I'm 64" is a close second in my book. It occured to me last year at a wedding with my extended family that my parents were indeed 64. They are just as in love now as ever...

When I get older losing my hair
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me a valentine
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine?

3. "All You Need is Love" is true on so many levels...

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah (Love is all you need)

4) "Hey Jude" are simple and tender sentiments...

You have found her, now let her go.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better...
Take a sad song and make it better.

What's your favorite love song? Last, but not least - Happy Valentine's Day! XOXO
