NBC Picks Up '30 Rock' For Another Season

Undoubtedly, one of the funniest shows on television, NBC has picked up its Emmy Award-winning comedy "30 Rock" for another season through 2011-12, it was announced today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

"We are happy to confirm the pickup of '30 Rock' for another season,"
said Bromstad. "It continues to be a bold, hilarious, sophisticated
comedy that has become a classic in its own time."

The pickup comes as "30 Rock" also celebrates its 100th episode this season.

The multiple award-winning comedy series "30 Rock" is told through the comedic voice of Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner Tina Fey as variety show producer Liz Lemon, and features Emmy and three-time Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin as top network executive Jack Donaghy and Emmy nominee Tracy Morgan as Tracy Jordan, the unpredictable star of Lemon's hit variety show, "TGS with Tracy Jordan." Lemon constantly has her hands full, juggling corporate interference from Donaghy and off-the-handle star antics from Jordan, all while attempting to salvage her own personal life. Also, rounding out the cast are two-time Emmy nominee Jane Krakowski as Jenna Maroney, the co-star of "TGS" - she's hysterical.

As a new season approaches, I hope the writers will never put Jack and Liz Lemon together as a couple; it's too predictable. Plus, they're funnier as awkward friends. This show could go down as one of the funniest shows on television.

Before you checkout some of Jack and Liz Lemon's classic moments, here are some of my most recent favorite quotes from the show:

Episode 7: "Brooklyn Without Limits"

Jack: Those jeans make you look like a Mexican sports reporter.
Liz: Thank you Jack.

Jenna: My exercise video is dropping soon. It's called "Jenna gets hard."

Episode 6: "Gentleman's Intermission"

Liz: Albino ninja!

Jack: Ambition is the willingness to kill the things you love and eat them in order to stay alive. Haven't you ever read my throw pillow?

Episode 5: "Reaganing"

Liz: I'm the one with the performance problem. I freaked out and my junk closed for business. It's like Fort Knox down there.
Driver: I'm just going to raise the barrier if that's okie dokie with everyone.

Jenna: Kenneth, take this card and get a cake for the crew.
Kenneth: Oh that's very thoughtful Ms. Maroney.
Jenna: Well one of the camera guys just had a baby, and I'm sick of hearing about it. This will put me back on top.

Episode 4: "Live Show"

Kenneth: Oh and the Chilean miners are all out and they're very angry about what you've been saying about them.
Jenna: So I guess they're geniuses for getting stuck in a mine?
