Another week has passed in Big Ten football, leaving only three games in the regular season. How could it be? Where has the season gone? Sadly, this happens every year. The season passes us by, and we then suddenly realize…we only have three Saturdays left before we have to wait a month for bowl season.
However, the season is far from over. Division leaders Michigan Sate and Penn State are far from clinching their spot in the Big Ten championship game. Michigan State, which I still say is overachieving, has two tough road games left. Three of their four conference wins could just have easily been losses. With Iowa this week and Northwestern in their final game, they better be ready! If MSU can’t get it done, Michigan or Nebraska will quickly take control of the legends division.
Penn State seems safe with a two-game-lead with three weeks to go, but their last three games will be tough! This week against Nebraska, the 19th at Ohio State, and their last week in Madison! If Wisconsin can hang tough the next two weeks and Penn State loses one of their next two, Wisconsin will be the favorite to take the leadersdivision that final week against the Nittany Lions.
So no worries; although only three weeks remain, they’re going to be crazy! Strap yourselves in, we’re in for a wild ride!
