Big Ten Game of The Week
Notre Dame @ Michigan: This has the potential of being an outstanding game, regardless of the fact that it’s the first night game in Michigan Stadium history. Tommy Rees gets the nod from Brian Kelly in favor of Dayne Crist, who was benched midway through last Saturday during an embarrassing ND loss. Michigan’s offense did well last week, as did their defense, but there were still major signs of weakness on both sides of the ball. It’ll be interesting to see how the new Michigan offense and defense do against a quality opponent, and if Notre Dame can knock off the Wolverines in the Big House. My prediction…35-31, Michigan.
Bama @ Penn State: The names of the schools are appealing, but that’s all this game has going for it. The Tide is head and shoulders above Penn State, and I expect a similar final as last year’s showdown in Tuscaloosa. Alabama wins it easily, 28-7.
Eastern Illinois @ Northwestern: Whether Persa is ready or not, it shouldn’t matter for this game. As a matter of fact, I’d sit him anyway. The Wildcats have this one locked up. 42-14, ‘Cats.
As for the rest of my predictions…

Michigan State: 42, Florida Atlantic: 17
