Northwestern: Dan Persa (QB) is back, which is huge. It won’t be enough for Northwestern to get to the top of the division, though. Their defense was one of the worst in the Big Ten last season, and the six starters they have returning won’t make the unit any better. However, with Persa starting, the Wildcats will earn six to seven wins on the season. Demetrius Fields and Jeremy Ebert (WRs) will be the main targets for Persa, but look out for Charles Brown; he has pretty good talent and being overlooked by opponents may get him some good looks. A 3-5 record in the Big Ten is what I expect, and is a pretty successful season for NU. Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota are wins, but don’t expect any more out of Pat Fitzgerald’s crew this season.
