I want to apologize for not having put anything up in a while, but life has been busy. I have been blessed with the birth of my son and, well, writing hasn't been an option over the last few days.
As I write this my new son, Benjamin, is sleeping peacefully in his bouncy chair and Mom is resting comfortably on the couch. Both of them are having a nice nap that is well deserved.
Benjamin came into this world on Tuesday Feb, 7 at 10:16am and both him and mom are doing great. It is such a joy to have a little one that is part of me in this world.
Yesterday I sat with him for hours just sitting and watching fishing shows. I figure I have to start him early right? It won't be long and he will be all grown up and we will wonder where the time has gone.
They say that children are a blessing and I have to agree. Now on the other side of the coin, everyone keeps telling me that I might as well sell all of my fishing equipment because I won't be able to use it. To these people I say nay nay. It may gather some dust for the time being, but I am fortunate enough to have a wife that I love and that understands my passion. Plus, someone has to teach Benjamin how to out-fish Grandpa Yarmuth.
It may go without saying but I need to say thank you to all of those that have helped us and cared for us in our lifetime as well as during this beautiful event.
If it wasn't for family and friends the joy of raising this child wouldn't have as much meaning as it does. My wife and I want to say thank you to all of those that have sent thoughts our way and have helped us out with wonderful gifts and words of encouragement.
Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!
Cory, Becky, and Benjamin Yarmuth
