Forbes: Chicago Sixth Most Miserable City

Forbes: Chicago Sixth Most Miserable City

In the type of story designed to generate page views and arguments, Forbes released its list of America's Most Miserable Cities, and Chicago is No. 6 on the list. A bit further down on the list, Rockford comes in at No. 9, while Miami was deemed the most miserable city in America.

The list takes into account 10 factors, including crime, political corruption, unemployment and commute times. Real estate issues like property tax rates and home prices are also computed in determining a city's misery. It also includes how well the sports teams did during the year, which is yet another reason to hate Mike Martz.

Here's the top 10:

10. Warren, Mich.

9. Rockford, Ill.

8. Toledo, Ohio

7. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

6. Chicago, Ill.

5. Sacramento, Calif.

4. West Palm Beach, Fla.

3. Flint, Mich.

2. Detroit, Mich.

1. Miami, Fla.

I've been to Toledo, and it's far more miserable than Chicago. At least by my calculation. Then again, Jay Cutler does look pretty sad most of the time.
