5 Worst Superbowl Dishes: Avoid so your butt & gut won't be bigger on Monday!

Superbowl parties are one of those celebrations that are more about the food (and commercials) than the game.  The teams playing are not relevant to most guests at a Superbowl party unless they are from the city of one of the teams playing.

I have met more people this year that care less about the game and more about having an excuse to drink and eat on a Sunday night. I have also encountered a lot of Chicagoans pouting over The New England Patriots being in Superbowl XLVI in Indianapolis.  They say they are rooting for The New York Giants; truly it is only out of default.  I like football, I would not say it is my 3 top sports (I love boxing, MMA and baseball too much), but I feel a need to be ‘FOR' one team before walking into a party that honors the game. So I am going to get past the whole Bill Belichick cheating thing and turn my ear the other way from the Tom Brady haters and be a Patriots fan.  In doing so, I will also turn away from these 5 dishes that are simply not worth the calories to me.  I realize this list is subjective.  I just don’t think these foods taste good enough to eat for the amount of calories that come along with them.  I have also picked these foods because it is rare that you would eat them in low quantities like 1 chip, 1 meatball, 1 wing and so forth.  These are foods that are eaten in bunches.

Pork BBQ Sparerib
1 Large BBQ Pork Spareribs, 3oz 396 calories, 25 g of fat, 0 carbs, 18 g protein This is without sauce.
Bacon Cheddar Cheese Potato Skins Topped with Sour Crème
190 calories, 12 g of fat, 12 g carbs, 6.4 g protein. I am going to say most will eat 2-3 skins = 400 to 600 calories.
Swedish Meatballs with White Sauce, 1 oz = 1 meatball
46 calories, 2.6 g fat, 2 g carbs, 3.5 g protein What makes you eat so many is that they are bite size. So I am guessing about 5 to 8 meatballs get consumed on an average sitting = 250-400 calories.
Domino’s Hot Buffalo Wings, 1 wings
45 calories, 2.5 g fat, .5 g carbs, 5.5 g protein. If I had to guess most people eat about 5 to 8 wings in a sitting. = 250-400 calories without the sauce.
7-layer-mexican-bean-dip
20 calories, 2.5 g fat, 2 g carbs, .5 g protein Tortilla Chips – White Corn, 1 oz = 11 chips 138 calories, 6.6 g fat, 18.5 g carbs, 2.2 g protein Remember if you have 11 chips with a scoop of the dip it is actually 100 calories, 15 g fat, 10 g carbs on top of the chips. I am figuring each chip has ½ tbsp of dip on it.
