Breakfast is always hard to squeeze into the morning routine. You need to be on schedule and not behind one beat to sleep as long as you can and get out the door quickly. This is my favorite breakfast on the go. Of course you make this with any healthy bread, like oat bread, whole wheat english muffin or a wheat flatbread. But I love the whole wheat waffles.
So it is pretty simple. Toast your waffles - which is about 170 calories. Spread about 1-2 teaspoons of peanut butter - which is 180 calories and then put a banana in-between - which is 90 calories. This is about 12 grams of protein total.
