Singer Ro James Brings The Smoke On Tour

Yesterday Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, Ro James, performed at Lincoln Hall during his joint tour with BJ the Chicago Kid.  After the release of his debut album El Dorado and 2 years of touring around the world alongside the likes of Maxwell, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Erykah Badu and his own headlining tour across North America with additional dates in Amsterdam, London, and Paris, Ro is finally back and gearing up to release his anticipated sophomore album this year. He recently put out a surprise EPSMOKE EP, which is the first in a two part EP series. The second part, MIRRORS EP, is due next month. Ro’s unique voice (which was compared to Prince & D’Angelo by Billboard) and throwback style have made him a favorite amongst music listeners. He's also one of our favorites to interview. During his Chicago leg of the tour, he came by the studio and chopped it up with us for a little bit. Press play to get the latest scoop on Ro!
