Movie Review: Flight Starring Denzel Washington

FLIGHT starring Denzel Washington opens in theaters worldwide today, but I got a sneak peek of the film last night. This movie centers around an airline pilot who saves a flight from crashing, but an investigation into the malfunctions reveals something troubling. Without giving too much of the film away, I must say that I enjoyed this movie ... a lot. Seeing Denzel on screen is always a pleasure, this is yet another movie where Denzel does not disappoint. In my opinion this is on the top of my list as "Top Characters That Denzel Portrays". His character Whip faces some very heavy personal challenges that made Denzel just the man to portray this role phenomenally.

The director, Robert Zemeckis, masterfully crafted the plot and characters while retaining our entertainment throughout the 2 hour long film. I know 2 hours may sound long but Denzel as Whip draws you in;  from his suave arrogance while suited in a pilots uniform to the pain he suffers internally causing him to be reckless. Although this movie showed a very heavy personal struggle for Whip, it still gave you additional witty commentary to make you laugh.

This movie is not what you would expect it to be,  it's better than your expectations. With the help of actors like: John Goodman, Don Cheadle and Bruce Greenwood, you are in for a bumpy ride. So the captain asks you to fasten your seat belts as you take Flight 227!
