Yesterday I had the opportunity to co-host the 2nd Annual Taste of WVON. As a co-host it was my duty walk around the grounds and find people to interview, such as: vendors, performers, WVON radio personalities and the facilitators responsible for putting together this awesome community event. Located at Lorraine Dixon Park on 87th & Dauphin, the park drew all the members of the community with the the smell of their delicious food, exciting entertainment, fantastic prizes and unstoppable fun.
After a long day of work, I actually broke my record of interviewing 26 people including: Rhymefest, Kindred the Family Soul, Pastor Jenkins, and Melody Spann Cooper (Owner of WVON). I would not have gotten the chance to take advantage of this opportunity if it wasn't for the best cameraman in Chicago, Alonzo Stallings. I send a special thanks out to him along with the wonderful crew I got to work with, Reese Love and Robert Chapman.
If you missed the Taste of WVON this year, I hope to see you next year. Stay tuned for the outstanding video!
