Rev. Watkins likes the Cubs this year

When I worked at The Score (WSCR) years ago, a man named Reverend Watkins regularly called about the Cubs.

He would say: "The Cubs don't need to be better; everybody else needs to be worse."

Truth is that the Cubs are better ... and the rest of the division is worse.

Johnny Cueto and Bronson Arroyo are ailing in Cincinnati.  Adam Wainwright is done for the season with the Cardinals.  Shawn Marcum and Zack Greinke have both been nicked up in Brewers camp this spring.

The Cubs have questions of their own.  What will they get from Carlos Zambrano?  What can they expect from Alfonso Soriano?  Will Aramis Ramirez return to form?

Regardless, the Rev. Watkins theory says the Cubs are in a good spot.
