The next 20 days will define the Cubs season.
Starting tonight in Seattle, the Northsiders will play everyday until the All-Star Break.  Cubs players and coaches will tell you that if they can end this stretch within four games of the division lead (the Cardinals currently have a seven-game bulge), the playoffs are a possibility.
Can they gain three games in the Central?  That's the goal.

The Cubs will see King Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee at Safeco.  Aramis Ramirez will be activated from the DL during the series.

You and Lou: While Ron Santo is taking the Mariners series off (#10 will join us for all three pregame shows), I'll join Lou Piniella for the manager's segment.  If you have a quality question you'd like me to ask Lou, let me know.  Both Peter Chase and Jason Carr, from the Cubs media relations department, have made the trip to handle all the requests for the former Mariners' skipper.

Shutout: Len Kasper and I were both bummed we didn't check the Seattle music scene earlier.  The Heavy played a sold-out show at Showbox last night.  If you've never heard them, check out The House That Dirt Built.  Stellar!
