A Must-Have Recipe for a Good Relationship

A Must-Have Recipe for a Good Relationship

Family recipes for grandma’s infamous apple pie are always passed down through the generations. And recipes for quick meals and low fat appetizers are readily available on the internet. But by the amount of divorce in this country as well as by the number of singles struggling to find and maintain relationships it is evident that not enough families have passed down the recipe for a good relationship.

J.O.Y. Love has come to the rescue.  Here is the recipe for a happy and successful relationship. Pass it on to those you care about.

Ingredients and cooking instructions

Self awareness

In order to have a successful relationship both parties must be self aware. Each party must know what he or she brings to the table and what he or she needs in return in order to thrive. Coming into a relationship without self awareness would be like attempting to cook a complex new dish without a recipe.  It wouldn’t work.

If you want a good relationship know what kind of person you are and what type of person complements you.

Stability

To increase your chances of having a successful relationship there should be some level of stability in your life. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect but you should have your stuff at least somewhat together. If you have any personal problems such as mental health issues, addiction or severe financial concerns stabilize those issues before attempting to have a relationship.

Attempting to have a relationship without stability would be like trying to bake something by taking it in and out of the oven every few minutes. In order for something to cook it needs to sit undisturbed in the oven for a period of time. Relationships are similar. If you want a good relationship wait until there is some level of stability in your life.

Dedication

To have a good relationship there must be dedication. Even the people you love the most including your significant other will get on your nerves sometimes. Therefore, you must practice having patience. Learn to let the little things go and to remember the reasons you committed to this person in the first place.

Sometimes life may throw you an obstacle that makes the relationship more challenging such as an out of state job transfer, an illness, or financial trouble. If you want the relationship to succeed you must stay dedicated even when it isn’t easy. Dedication is the eggs in the good relationship recipe; it holds everything together.

Humor

Having a good sense of humor makes everything in life better including relationships. Learn to laugh at yourself. Make plenty of time to have fun and laugh with your partner. It is important to have a good sense of humor even when you don’t get your way.

If you can laugh with your partner it will be easier to maintain a long and happy relationship where the two of you can grow old together. Attempting to have a relationship without humor would be like baking cookies with no milk and no butter. Everything would be hard and dry and that does not make for a good relationship. If you want your relationship to be successful have a good sense of humor.

Sugar

If you want a good relationship be sweet to each other and not just on Valentine’s Day and Anniversaries, everyday. Plan romantic dates even if you have been dating or married for a long time. Compliment your partner. Gaze into each other’s eyes regularly.

Say please and thank you. Help each other out around the house and with errands. Be physically affectionate. Just as sugar is the best part of any cake or cookie recipe it is one of the most enjoyable parts of a good relationship. If you want your relationship to be successful be sweet.

Spice

For a relationship to really thrive there needs to be plenty of spice. Spice up your relationship by being spontaneous. Wake your partner up with a sexual treat first thing in the morning. Wisk your partner away for a spontaneous trip full of adult fun.

Send racy text messages from work. Take care of your body. Wear sexy lingerie or costumes. Role play. However you do it have plenty of amazing sex. And don’t always follow the same routine. What would an apple pie be without cinnamon and nutmeg? It would be the same as a relationship without enough spice; not any good.

Blend ingredients well and bake on low heat

It is better for the ingredients to come together slowly at a lower temperature rather than too quickly at a higher temperature.  If the ingredients don’t cook at the proper temperature and for an appropriate amount of time you will end up with a half baked relationship. Being consumed by a half baked relationship can be as excruciating as consuming under cooked chicken.

Include all of the proper ingredients, let them cook thoroughly and you will have a relationship that warms the heart and nourishes the soul.

Have a yummy and fulfilling dating experience!
