One of the things that I wanted to do when I started this blog is feature interviews with recent college graduates telling their struggles of finding a job in Chicago. I also want to feature interviews with people who already have jobs that can offer insight in various fields. I have completed three interviews to date but they will not all be posted at the same time. However, I will let you know what interviews are coming up.
Marty DeRosa (@Martyderosa) is a comedian in Chicago. When he is not appearing on comedy shows across the city, he works alongside local independent wrestler Colt Cobana (@Coltcabana) and produces 5 Dollar Wrestling and the Youtube show, Creative Has Nothing for You. You can check these out at:
Ivana Gentile is a recent college graduate from Dominican University. She is looking to begin a career in communications but has struggled to find a job in the past year. While she is looking, she is helping her parent's business Abruzzo Graphics.
Meredith Rund is a recent college graduate from Northern Illinois University. She is looking to begin a career in non-profits. Since May 2011, Meredith has not had much success in finding a full-time job. Instead, she has recently started her baking company, Grove Street Bakers.
I have not decided which interview to post first but each one will be compelling as I have found out so far. I'd like to also thank all of you who have followed the blog so far. I will be promoting the blog heavily this coming week and hope you will tell all your friends to check Windy City Job Hunting out.
