This is a Tribune conflict of interest....promoting my kid..

but I am proud of my family. So I must state that Pat works for the Blackhawks. (due diligence)   He creates video content for their website, as well as promotional video and occasionally stuff that appears on the scoreboard.  He and his feisty crew at the United Center- er- Madhouse on Madison- created this to promote a game with Minnesota.  I think it is very cute.  Is cute allowed in hockey?  I hope so.

  • you've raised a monster (smasher)! :)

  • Very clever and creative!

  • I love the commercial. Usually I hate commercials and record everything so I don't have to watch them.

I love it too- I find myself going to Janet Dahl et al just to re-watch it. It loads faste than at the Hawks site.

  • In reply to maginnisone:

Janet, I can remember a young Steve Dahl tell his fans that his beautiful wife had just given birth to their first child, baby boy Patrick Dahl. Boy how time flies, now I'm feeling old!

  • In reply to maginnisone:

Janet - that's great! Congrats to Pat on a good job!

This video even made it onto a very popular sports blog. Very impressive.

I believe it was Richard J. Daley who said, "If a father can't help his son, then what's this world coming to?"

As long as you don't try to buy him the president of the Cook County Board you're OK. Then again, I believe Patrick would do a much better job than the Toddler, who is so pathetic that I actually feel sorry for.

    YEAH! Patrick.

    Clever, funny, and even timely!
