Annual Jam Band: The new tracks

Annual Jam Band: The new tracks
I wouldn’t be doing this music blog right if I didn’t share some of my own tunes. OUR tunes. The Annual Jam Band is a collaborative (and now ten-day-long) project that gathers from the far reaches of the country once a year to informally rock out a few parties, then move on to Rockford for... Extended String Training: Musicians are athletes too

Extended String Training: Musicians are athletes too
Year after year athletes come to spring training/pre-season and fans think, Why do we need all these games? Everyone remembers the rules. Well.. Everyone except Manny Ramirez. It results in things like your Doc furiously scribbling jazz... Read more »

We caught this adorable Swede performing on Conan sometime last year ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOGJ1pXK-eE ). There is something infectious here and, to me, it’s obviously the percussive nature of the music (in other performances it’s actually drums). Her best songs strike me as not Lykke Li and whoever playing whatever behind her, but as a JAM. Girl... Read more »
