Physician Abraham Groesbeck built and moved into this home in 1869. Contractor Otis L. Wheelock built the Italianate style home for the physician. It was designated a Chicago Landmark in 1993.
Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of the deceased president, lived here while she resided in Chicago. Several other notable Chicagoans lived in the home.
The home was converted for commercial use and houses a law office, yoga studio, and salon among others.
