The Musky Capital of the World® is celebrating 60 years of Musky Jamborees this summer, from Friday, August 12 thru Sunday, August 14, 2016, with a variety of activities happening each day:

The festivities kick off with a bang on Friday night, August 12, from 7-10 pm, with live music by Hip Pocket at our street party at Coontail Corner and a fireworks display at 9:30pm, sponsored by the Town of Boulder Junction and viewable from the Street Party. American Legion Post 451 will be serving beverages during the entertainment.

History is the focus on Saturday, August 13. The Boulder Junction Historical Society will hold activities, including a brat and BBQ luncheon, raffles and a bake sale, from 11am-3pm at the Community Center along with guided tours of our Historical Museum.  At 12:00pm, the Picnic Theatre presents “Ouisconsin’s New France Connection, The French Fur Trade Era, 1650-1774”. The 60th celebration continues down Main Street when we bring classic back with our Musky Jamboree Parade at 3pm. Join us for Musky themed floats, boats, past Musky Queens and our honorary Musky Queen, Secretary of Tourism Stephanie Klett.  After the parade, grab a bite to eat and head back out to Coontail Corner for our Polka Fest, featuring Spotlight Polka Band from 6pm to 9pm. Boulder Junction Lions Club will be serving beverages on Saturday night.

Also on Saturday, at 11am, will be our Main Street Mural Dedication at 10386 Main Street, the west side of the Badger Heating and Air Conditioning building. Join us, along with Secretary of Tourism Stephanie Klett, for the official unveiling and signing of this beautiful mural created by artist, Joan Christgau, depicting all four seasons of activities, scenery and wildlife in Boulder Junction.

The Art Gypsies are hosting a Garden Party Art Show from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and will be at the Boulder Junction Public Library’s Reading Garden. A variety of artists will have works for sale and there will be refreshments with donations benefiting the Reading Garden fund.
