MEET THE ALL-TIME GREATS AT THE CHICAGOLAND FISHING, TRAVEL & OUTDOOR EXPO
Don Dziedzina (R) and Jim DaRosa (L) interview Kevin Van Dam (c) at the Chicagoland Fishing Travel and Outdoor Expo

We have reeled in the best in the business and these top pros will be sharing their expertise at the Chicagoland Fishing, Travel & Outdoor Expo from January 29-February 1, 2015 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL. This is an incredible opportunity for anglers to learn from pros at the peak of their game as they share their expertise.

Heading the list is Mike “Ike” Iaconelli, the recent winner of the BASS Elite event on the Delaware River in downtown Philadelphia. He is one of only 11 anglers who have won both the Bassmaster Angler of the Year and the Bassmaster Classic. In fact, he has appeared in the Classic an amazing 15 times and won eight B.A.S.S. tournaments since 1999. Iaconelli is a lifelong fisherman who spends approximately 200 days a year on the water, enhancing his knowledge of numerous lakes, rivers and reservoirs around the country. He also works as a part-time guide, writes fishing articles, and designs lures. An experienced speaker, he is in demand as a seminar presenter at sportshows around the country.  He will be speaking on Sunday, February 1st.

Joining Iaconelli is Gerald Swindle, often tagged as fishing’s funniest man thanks to the humorous remarks that flow freely when he speaks. But Swindle has serious fishing credentials including winning bass fishing’s highest honor, the 2004 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year award, and the 2011 Bassmaster Southern Open. A 15-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier, Swindle’s talk is sure to be both informative and entertaining.

Next up is Jacob Powroznik, who has been a force on the BASS Elite fishing circuit this year making the cut in his first three tournaments and then winning BASS events on the Toledo Bend Reservoir in Louisiana and the Toyota Angler of the Year Championship in September on Bays de Noc in Michigan.  He capped this off by finishing third in the Angler of the Year standings while winning the Rookie of the Year title. Powroznick will compete in the Bassmaster Classic in February.

Also on deck is Derek Yamamoto, a fierce competitor and regular contender on the Western ABA, UBTT, and FLW Tour circuits. Yamamoto has fished all over the country, but calls Lake Meade, with its challenging waters, home. He is the 2014 UBTT Tournament of Champions winner and the 2014 ABA South Team Classic winner.

One of the most dynamic and inspiring speakers featured at the Expo is the ever-popular Tommy Skarlis who is always eager to share fishing secrets and tactics with fans. Skarlis has won more than 10 major titles, including the FLW Walleye Tour Championships, the PWT Angler of the Year, and the Crappie Masters Championship. For sheer enthusiasm and excitement, he is one speaker attendees will not want to miss!

Returning to the show is Marianne Huskey, a United States Coast Guard captain and licensed Wisconsin Guide who made professional fishing history when she won the 2012 Anglers Insight Marketing Angler of the Year award. This marked the first time in the history of major professional fishing tournament circuits that a female angler won the award.

Also back by popular demand is Joe Bucher, a National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame Legendary Angler and one of the most highly regarded multi-species fishing authorities in the fishing world. An on-camera talent for 24 years, Bucher hosts the popular television series “Fishing with Joe Bucher.”

Be sure to catch Jim Saric, a Legendary Angler in the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. He is the host and executive producer of “The Musky Hunter” television series, editor and publisher of Musky Hunter magazine, author of the recently released book “Muskies My Way,” and a seven-time musky tournament winner. An acclaimed author and videographer, Saric conducts more than 30 seminars annually and teaches the University of Esox musky schools throughout the country.

Don’t miss “Musky Madness” on January 30th, with musky seminars presented all day by some of the best musky anglers in the business, including Jim Saric, Mike Hulburt, Joe Bucher, Chris Taurisano, and Duane Serck. That evening, all five pros will attend a question-and-answer forum hosted by Jim Saric. Two lucky attendees will win a musky tackle package, including a St. Croix rod, Daiwa reel, Stormr Strykr Foul Weather Jacket, Plano Tackle Management Pack, and Joe Bucher Outdoors lures.

Rounding out the top talent is popular local fisherman Dave Kranz.  Kranz has been the owner of Dave’s Bait, Tackle and Taxidermy in Crystal Lake since 1989, and has taught generations of sportsmen and women how to hunt and fish. He competes in bass tournaments throughout the Fox Chain of Lakes System and the Madison Chain of Lakes, as well as many other bodies of water in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Kranz will present seminars on multi-species lake fishing.

Don’t miss Illinois's greatest sportfishing show! From bass to pike, bluegill to salmon, this show covers it all.
