Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days
Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days, Sept. 28 & 29, 2013

National Hunting and Fishing Days will be celebrated this upcoming weekend across the country.

Here in northern Illinois, the celebration of the outdoors will happen at the Silver Springs State Park just outside of Yorkville.

Northern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 and the great thing about it is that it's all free.  There is no admission price and to see all the displays and attend all of the demonstrations and seminars are for you and the family to enjoy at no cost.

You can shoot a bow, bb gun, or a shotgun.  All free.   Learn how to field dress a deer and butcher it.  See pointing and retrieving dog demonstrations.  There's canoe rides and pond fishing for the kids.  Both days are full of activities from 9am to 5pm rain or shine.

It's a great event for the whole family to enjoy.
