Fall vacations are fun be them for a week or just a weekend. And the Northwoods of Wisconsin are starting to show signs of color in the trees.
It's a great time of year to tour areas like Boulder Junction. I have a trip scheduled with my daughter to visit Boulder Junction this fall but we don't have the dates locked in yet. Now, knowing that on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9:00am to 3:00pm is the 21st Annual Colorama Arts & Crafts Fair held at the Boulder Junction Community Center will be happening, maybe we should mark our calendars.
We may just head north then for they're annual arts and crafts show and farmers market. The Boulder Junction Chamber says that coffee and pastries will available in the morning and our ever-popular venison BBQ sandwiches will be served for lunch.
But maybe we'll go the next week. The following weekend, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 6:00pm the Boulder Junction Community Foundation hosts the 54th Annual Colorama Dinner. A delicious dinner featuring venison stew and baked chicken held at Camp Manitowish YMCA’s historic Nash Lodge on Hwy K west of Boulder Junction. Come enjoy a wonderful meal, served family style by the North Lakeland School 8th Grade Class. Lots of door prizes and entertainment, and the 2013 raffle drawing for the restored Thompson Bros. Wood Canoe, Hand-Carved Totem Pole and Peeplelures Gift Certificate! Proceeds benefit various local charities and projects.
Okay now we have more options, more weekends to pick from.
