Photos show that fishing has been good up north

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.   Well, when you get several thousand, its quite a story that's told.

Good friend of mine, Todd Gessnee of Todd Gessner Outdoors is a guide out of the Wildcat Lodge in Boulder Junction Wisconsin.  This is a great fishing vacation destination that's about 6 hours north of my Chicago south suburban home.  Its an easy drive up Rt. 51 to County M.

The Boulder Junction area is known as the Musky Capital of the World, but with over 90 lakes within 10 miles of town, you can always find someplace to fish and get more than muskies.

The photos that Todd sent me show that the walleye and smallmouth bass fishing is pretty good too.  Todd tells me that the temperatures during the day have been in the 70s and cooler at night for great sleeping.

I'm heading back up there in mid-October with my daughter Lisa.  We're going to catch some nice fish.  We're also bringing another couple with us as they' want to get their first muskie.

So, along with Todd's recent photos, I'm going to add in a few of my own from last October.  Guess what I'm saying here is that some great fishing up north is yet to come.  You'll have to agree when you see the photos.
