DesPlaines River Anglers Assn. hosts first open meeting in Lockport

Dan Sims, President of the Des Plaines River Anglers Association announced their hosting of an open membership meeting on Wednesday March 7 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at The Outpost,  14929 Archer Avenue,  Lockport, IL.

The DPRAA is a group of anglers who fish the Des Plaines River, and also take part in the conversation of its waters.

Their main goal is to improve the quality of what is already a productive river system, stocking programs, creel surveys, fishing outings, and working hand in hand with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to better improve the system as a whole.

The group welcomes new members and is open to anglers and other conservationists with the same views as their own.  They will be holding monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month to discuss new business and how to better improve our waters.

Everyone is welcome to come to our first public meeting to learn more about the DPRAA.

Please visit the DPRAA website at  www.DPRAA.com for further information.
