Chicago Boat Show has new dates in January

The Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, Sports & RV Show at McCormick Place has a little change coming in its dates for 2012.  The dates are set for Thursday, January 12 to Monday, January 16, 2012.

This will be the 82nd year for the hicago Boat, Sports & RV Show and is the ideal escape for every outdoor enthusiast, offering a one-stop-shop with sales on hundreds of boats, RVs, marine accessories, camping equipment, fishing gear, and travel destinations, plus fun attractions for the entire family.

Some highlights for the 2012 show include Rail Jam, an indoor wakeboarding stunt show; Kidz Zone, featuring the Huck Finn Trout Pond; World of Scuba, bringing everything required to get started in scuba diving; Fred’s Shed and the Discover Boating Welcome to the Water Center offering everything needed for on-the-water education for beginners to experienced boaters looking for DIY instruction; and the Powerboat Docking Challenge, where new and experienced boaters compete against the clock to dock a remote-controlled boat; and much more.

What more can Chicago's biggest boating and outdoor show do?  Well on Thursday night, January 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM the Fishing and Outdoor Radio show will broadcast live at the show's opening night. That's right!  Jim DaRosa, Ray Ludkevicz and yours truly, Don Dziedzina will be there to interview several of the show exhibitors as well as the show manager.  The show airs on WCSJ AM 1550, WCSJ FM 103.1, WSPY FM 107.1, WSPY AM 1480, and WSQR AM 1180 live every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.

So come out the Chicago Boat, Spors & RV show at McCormick Place on opening night, Thursday January 12 and stop by at our booth.  We'll may be giving away some T-shirts or lures to some lucky visitors while the supplies last.
