Some Nice Northwoods Walleyes

I received a photo from my friend Todd Gessner of Todd Gessner Outdoors.  Todd guides during the summer months at the Wildcat Lodge in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.   The photo in the gallery shows one of his recent catches, a nice pair of 27 and 28 inch walleyes.

When Todd and I talked over the phone the other day I was telling him about how we've been stuck in 90 degree heat and higher heat indexes every day.  He told me that the weather has been just beautiful in the Northwoods.

Boulder Junction is a great summer fishing vacation destination.  Learn more about the Musky Capital of the World by visiting www.BoulderJct.org.

My favorite place to stay in the Northwoods is the Wildcat Lodge.   They have cabins that are perfect for couple of fishing buddies and small or large families.   They're all housekeeping cabins, however they do offer a Modified American Plan where breakfasts and dinners are included.   Cooking and clean up should not be part of a vacation.  Let Wildcat take care of your meals and housekeeping.

While staying at the Wildcat Lodge or when just passing through the Boulder Junction Area, learn more about the local waters and the great walleye fishing by using the guide services of Todd Gessner who was inducting into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Guide this year.   You can touch bases with the Wildcat Lodge and Todd by visiting www.WildcatLodge.com or www.ToddGessnerOutdoors.com.

Check out the photo gallery to see Todd's recent catch and some photos of the lodge and their meals.    I'm ready to go back.
