Bass Fishing on Cranberry Lake

Had a great day on the water this past week as I got to fish with Josh Lantz, Executive Director of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers.

Besides Josh being an outdoor writer/communicator himself, he's also a fishing guide, World Class Fly Fishing with Josh Lantz.

Josh does fly fish and takes clients out on the St. Joseph River and other great waters for fly fishing excursions.  But he also takes clients out and uses traditional tackle as well.  One of his home waters is Cranberry Lake near Mill Creek, Indiana.

Cranberry Lake is a private lake; however it is open for membership.  Visit www.TheCranberryLake.com for details.

The lake is less than 200 acres and is loaded with bass of all sizes.  Josh tells me that it has unbelievable panfishing as well.  If you ever wanted to try and get a trophy bass, one that's over six pounds, maybe seven or eight, you might just want to talk with Josh.

I have a slide show below with scenes from an Illinois Outdoors TV show that we taped on Cranberry.  The show will air on Comcast/Insight Cable on the Total Living Network on November 13 at 6 AM.

Take a look at the photos.  And if you'd like to get in touch with Josh for some Fall Fishing at Cranberry Lake or get on the river for the trout or salmon, get in touch with him through his website at www.gofishn.com/joshlantz.
