"Hey everyone, just thought I would give the young buck report.

Over the weekend as the sun came up over Rend lake last Saturday 91 Bass Boats raced across the playing field that would raise 30,000 for Special Olympics IL. My partner Steven and I were one of those teams fishing for a reason. Steven's older brother has a disability and is extremely active it the special games. Even through the tournament's end result was to raise money for a great cause, that didn't mean the competition was going to be easy.

We competed against some of the best in southern IL. As a team our goal was to catch a limit of 5 bass with a total weight of 13lbs. We knew that this kind of weight on Rend Lake would almost guarantee a top ten finish. When the dust settled we had landed 9 keepers with our best 5 going 12.01 (picture to follow) and finished in 12th place.

Although we fell sort of the goal, we really couldn't complain. We didn't lose any fish or accumulate any penalties, it was an excellent day and had a great reason to be on the water.
