A Kankakee River fishing report from Ed

Ed Mullady of the Sportsmans Letter sent over this fishing report.  I'd like to share it with you...

Kankakee River is slightly below normal and very clear. It is possible to see the bottom in 3 or more feet of water.

Smallmouth and largemouth bass good in area east of Momence *Carly and Gordon Islands in Kankakee River State Park. Good on *minnows *jig and twisters *Mepps Spinners *fly rod streamers.

In Indiana, both smallmouth and largemouth bass being caught in the  rivr  at the POINT, north of English Lake and mouths of tributaries.
Try for pike at mouths of all ditches and bayous along the bank of the river on *4 - 6" minnows *weedless Dr. Spoons or Mepps #5 spinners.
