Illinois Outdoors TV Show News

The Illinois Outdoors TV Show has been on the air for 15 years now.  Every so often there has been a change, be it in stations or time slots.

Well, it has come that time once again to change.

Effective Saturday, March 20, 2010 Illinois Outdoors TV will be seen on Comcast and Insight Cable at 6:00 AM on Saturdays on the Total Living Network, Channel 138 digital.

Seems early doesn't it?  Well there is a good reason for the move.

Well over 20 years ago, TLN started a Saturday outdoors block of TV Shows.  It was the hottest thing since buttered popcorn.  The block ran in the early moring and from mid to late afternoon.  It was very popular in the Chicago market.

Over the years, things have changed and many of the outdoor shows faded away.  Too bad.  But many stayed on.

With Illinois Otudoors TV being on at 6 AM, the show will be followed by Al Linder's Fishing Edge then by MidWest Outdoors.  Other shows are coming.

By having all the outdoor shows together there will be an increased viewership for all.

So if you're a late sleeper on Saturdays... set your Tivo or DVR to start recording, every Saturday at 6 AM on Channel 138.

The show is also seen on TV 17 Outdoors on MediaCom Cable in Chicago's far west suburbs in DeKalb, LaSalle, Kane, and Kendall Counties. The show is seen on Channel 17 on Tuesdays at 9:30 PM and Wednesdays at 11:30 AM & 7:30 PM

Illinois Outdoors TV can now be seen 24/7 on MyOutdoorTV.com.

Thanks for watching.
