Tom Hamilton wrote to me about a trip on Lake Michigan's Indiana waters. He also send a number of photos to share. Here is what he said...
I could write a book about our day Friday.
We were over near Inland Steel on Friday morning at 6:20 till about 4:30.
We trolled with 3 planer boards on each side, two Dipsies (one on each side) and two down riggers. We used everything, spoons, shad raps etc... every trick in the book. Fishing was tough but we earned our keep. Remember the biggest fish is not shown on capt. Ralph's fish holder at the end because we put that BIG one back in. Too big to keep.
Shown here (in the slideshow) is my younger brother Tim with his big Brown, the first fish of the day, and my wife Raquel who out fished all of us!
We worked for what we got but didn't come off the lake till about 4:45 or 5:00 PM. By the way winds had been out of the NE for so long and building in strength so the icebergs were coming in to the south end of the lake where we were fishing.
We started the day and caught about a 10 lb Brown, at approx 7:00AM and then my Laker at 7:30 AM. This was about a 22+lb laker. I released it immediately. It lived for another day. Capt. Ralph tells me he is the one guy who knows where they are and how to find them.
What a fun day. We are all going to have a fun year on the big lake this year.

And every time you tell the story, the fish will get bigger? Just kidding. Nice work!
You're absolutely right. That's why guys tell AND like to listen to fish stories. The more exagerated it is, the more thay love it.
Hi Don,
Maybe you remember me!
I made some videos for shallow water trolling and for boatless fishermen that want to learn how to steer their lures.
