Nate Hermna sent me a series of photos from a recent ice fishing trip. This is what Nate said.
"Took Jonn and Co fishing yesterday for some big bulls and we had to work for them, but ended up with several 20-24 ouncers! At this lake we release all bluegill 10? and bigger (we released over a dozen giants), but still ended up keeping several smaller 8-9 inchers."
These definitely are some really nice fish. Odd as it may seem, I never get photos of big gills and more, not to mention in great numbers like this, during summer months. They come mostly from ice anglers.
With fishing like this, it appears that more people should try ice fishing.

If you have a photo of a prize fish that you want to share, send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell me a little bit about where it was caught, what bait were used and any other details you'd like to share with the readers.
I'll do my best to get the photo on the blog.
